Reddit Thread Intelligence
Last updated: August 11, 2026
Reddit Thread Intelligence (“the Extension”) is a Chrome extension that helps users summarize and understand Reddit discussion threads. This policy explains what information is collected and how it is used.
Information we collect
The Extension only collects data when you click Analyze Thread on a Reddit post. In that case, we read publicly visible content from the page you are viewing, including:
- Subreddit name and post title
- Post body text
- Visible comments, Reddit usernames, comment scores, and thread structure
- The URL of the thread being analyzed
This content is sent to our analysis service to generate a summary, key points, consensus, disagreements, and highlighted comments.
Information we do not collect
- Reddit passwords, cookies, or login credentials
- Email addresses, payment details, or government IDs
- Your browsing history outside the current Reddit thread
- Keystrokes, mouse tracking, or general activity monitoring
- Precise location or GPS data
- Private messages or off-Reddit communications
How we use information
Thread content is used solely to provide the analysis you requested inside the
Extension. Processing may involve our backend server
(redditor-api.onrender.com) and third-party AI services used to
generate summaries.
Data sharing
We do not sell your data. Thread content is shared only with our backend and AI providers as needed to perform the analysis you explicitly requested. We do not use your data for advertising, credit decisions, or unrelated purposes.
Data retention
Analysis is processed on demand. The Extension does not build a long-term profile of users. Backend processing is designed to be stateless and does not permanently store Reddit account information tied to your identity.
Children
The Extension is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
